1. Zero Waste

The purpose of the circular economy is teaching society to manage materials such as wood, building materials and plastic well and efficiently, extending the lifetime of these products and minimizing the waste. Waste management is essential to achieve sustainability, so a recycling plant, through waste treatment and recovery actions should be the way in which this aim could be achieved.  The first step to recycling is the cooperation of citizens, which is still an unresolved subject. Perhaps because of the lack of enough information about how to recycle and about the final destination of waste, or lack of space and time among other issues, recycling is not done in the way it would be necessary. Education must begin at early ages, at school.   Trying to avoid climate change and to get a healthy environment there are possible very important individual actions such as avoiding contaminant means of transport or for example instead of throwing old clothes away,  donating them for charity. We also could donate many other items that have become unnecessary in the household. Regarding the commerce, a good model to reduce waste would be imitating old stores, where products were not previously packaged. People carried their own shopping bags and asked for the right quantity of each product they needed, avoiding in this way unnecessary packaging and food waste. However, current systems commerce, especially web commerce, generates increasingly packaging waste.
